Serfunghi di Calabretta Bruno
"Preserve the miracles that nature creates"
Serfunghi di Calabretta Bruno is located in Southern Italy within the Serre Calabre National Park.
Serfunghi was founded in 1995; however, the true origins of the Serfunghi date back to 1964 when Raffaele Calabretta returned to Serra San Bruno, after immigrating to France. It was then that he decided to embark on a new adventure, one of collecting the products that nature offered, especially mushrooms.
Raffaele dried the porcini mushrooms by spreading them on nets and letting them stay for a few days in the sun. He then tried to conserve other types of mushrooms in water and salt, obtaining an excellent result. Tourists who came to the area often asked to taste and buy the mushrooms. So, Luigi (Raffaele's son) and Raffaele began to commercialize these products. Luigi started preparing the mushrooms in the jars, following the most ancient traditions that his father transmitted to him and he now conveys to his own children.
Serfunghi preserves the miracles created by nature, without added preservatives, with the authentic and genuine flavor and the taste of tradition.
Today, Serfunghi boasts a wide selection of typical Calabrian products including:
