Sicilian Dinner at Holly Hill Inn

We had the honor of hosting several of our retailers and friends at Holly Hill Inn in Midway, Kentucky, for a Sicilian four-course dinner and wine tasting sponsored by IGP Terre Siciliane. The food was incredible, and of course, so was the wine. Here are a few pictures to get your mouth watering. The night started with Sicilian Arancini, which are risotto croquettes with mozzarella, and cauliflower fritters paired with Tonnino Pinot Grigio 2013.    

The first course was Swordfish Involtini served with Tonnino Grillo 2013. The swordfish was thinly sliced and filled with pine nuts, currants, breadcrumbs, mint and cheese with extra virgin olive oil, roasted peppers and local organic greens.

Next, the chef prepared Pumpkin, Pecorino and Pasta and paired it with Tonnino Mediterraneo Chenin Blanc 2013.

The night's entree was Breast of Duck with Sicilian Orange Sauce served with slow-cooked eggplant, fennel, roasted potatoes and Tonnino Nero D'Avola 2013.    

To finish the meal, we had Ricotta Tart paired with Cantine Francesco Montagna Sangue Di Guida 2013.
